I often have to tell cascade to "continue"
A.J. Brown
Ocassionally cascade will just stop performing a series of tasks. As an example, I'll ask it to write some tests for me. It'll write them, and then find some issues, fix those issues, and try again. Then it'll notice some more issues, tell me it's going to fix them, and then just fix them and stop.
If I say "continue" it resumes the task.
It's mostly annoying, but also breaks flow. If cascase is automatically running all of the tasks it's doing, I can task switch while it works to the result I want. But when I have to continually tell it to "keep going" I have to pay attention to it.

One thing that has helped for me is forcing the AI to create a little terminal prompt that you can just say yes or no in regarding continuance

Cascade FAIL! This ruins the workflow in windsurf! Cascase loses all memory of what it was doing and has to start all over, wasting credits and time. This happens 10x a day, not just every once in a while. If you tell it to continue, it usually starts working on something completly unrelated. Losing everything in it's memory about task it was working on.

Windsurf must add a checkbox under the prompt input with the option to auto-continue the response and in the config add the number of auto-continue times or steps per prompt and then show the continue button when them runs out

Occasionally is an understatement, I have to constantly stop and tell it to Continue, it is annoying and breaks my workflow.

Lately it's been increasingly disgusting, I don't know how they changed the team and the priorities but now I'm back to using cursor at 90% of the time, windsurfing has become totally unreliable, put the team and the priorities back as they were before.

i integrate a project tracker, and then work off the tracker with some rules.

It's genuinely a waste of credits too when you have to stop a running process and then tell it - Process was left hanging, so had to stop it".
Honestly, I've lost count on how many credits got lost on doing this. I hope they fix this.
