The

windsurf.cascadeOpenOnReload

option seems to only prevent the sidebar from opening when Windsurf is reloaded in-place. For example, when opening a new workspace. It doesn't prevent the sidebar from opening when Windsurf is initially started.

I know the keybind to bring up cascade when needed. I would really prefer to not have it take up a third of my window on every reload. An option to not open the cascade panel on launch would be greatly appreciated.

There is new setting:
"windsurf.cascadeOpenOnReload": false
which allows to disable this functionality but it still doesn't work for me, although there was fix in v1.3.4 but still it opens with every Windsurf launch on (Linux Mint 22.1).

The Cascade Chat loader takes a long time to initialize. It would be great to have an option to disable it on startup, as it can be annoying when not needed immediately.
