i could never finish credits except the first month and I never switch to unpaid models. But this would make me feel even more relaxed.

There is one feature request about full credit rollover that has received many votes. So far, Codeium hasn't implemented it. I think it's more likely that they will integrate next-generation models like DeepSeek into Codeium Free while maintaining the current structure.
With each new model, tool use capabilities for their free tier are improving. Meanwhile, the industry trend shows upward price adjustments for all premium models. Sam's anchoring of $150 and $600 API pricing makes it unsustainable for IDE companies to offer price lock-ins with more features and frontier model access.
Frontier model costs are likely to increase further (like google 2.5 pro). In the open-source space, model releases are promising, such as the release of Llama-3.1-Nemotron-Ultra-253B-v1, which may be implemented as Codeium Core.
My own 1000+ credit expire every month (as i want to keep my early adopter account alive) so I have also upvoted.

Gaurav Agrawal If they can't know how much the model will cost in the future, then credit me with virtual dollars back to my account to purchase new credits at the new price. If I spent $15 and used only 250/500 credits, then rollover $7.50 virtual dollars into my account. Then I can reuse my virtual dollars to purchase at the new amount even if the price goes up. At least it's something and doesn’t feel like they're stealing from me. There are ways to price things where the customer and the business can benefit.
