Cursor and now Antigravity (Windsurf fork) has a nice planning mode with plan review feature. Basically the IDE creates a plan in a specialized markdown file, asks the user to review it, and then user gives feedback to the model from the markdown file itself or tells the model to execute the plan with a single button click Hope Windsurf will adapt them soon.

A proper plan mode, Kiro, Trae, & now Cursor all have a proper plan mode. It would be a huge boon to be able to allow the model to plan better for complex tasks.

Plan Mode: Read all data prior to writing the plan Plan Mode currently begins generating a plan before collecting the full project context, which can result in inaccurate or incomplete implementation steps. Expected Behavior: Plan Mode should follow a strict sequence to ensure relevance and precision: Read all available data before generating a plan: - Local project files - README.md - Linked documentation - GitHub repositories (if provided) - MCP (read-only) - Any other relevant project context Generate a plan based on the fully gathered context without performing any file modification yet. Await explicit user confirmation before applying any changes or executing the plan. Rationale: Reading before planning ensures the generated steps are aligned with the real project setup. Skipping this stage removes the core advantage of Plan Mode: contextual intelligence. Proposed Enhancement: Introduce a mandatory data-gathering phase before planning begins. Optionally, display a summary of analyzed files/sources so users can verify the context was correctly understood before approving the plan.

Cascade ignores what is in the plan, doesn't add what is requested, updates the plan on a "lag" (several steps after something was done). Great idea and intention Badly implemented

Would it be possible to do yearly plan instead of monthly?

Hey, any updates to keep it from corrupting the plan file so that it can not only update properly, but stop adding duplicate tasks? It's also corrupting code files and adding duplicates there too. It charges me to add or fix something I never asked it to do, then it charges me to figure out what it's done, and then charges me to try to "fix" what it's broken, usually resulting in me having to either spend time manually figuring it out fixing corrupted code. I've had to revert several times. Crazy!

For $15, I am going to be slightly over the 500 credits in the chat window per month, and i am not a power user. It feels a bit tight.

Let cascade and agent do an investigation, ask follow up questions and conduct a full implementation plan (context, research, attack plan, checklist, to-dos, testing plan). Then let other or same agent to pick up plan and implement step-by-step.

i have double check your price plans and see restricted plans which means the user does not have alternatively options and some features of plan not helpfull for some users so he will pay for some thing that he will not use what if you made plan for every feature individually and also plan that contains variant features for example what if you made plan just for credits and make them more than existing
